Founding & Development Director
Chamba Tsetan
Chamba Tsetan grew up in Ladakh, where limited access to resources fueled his determination to make sports more accessible. His love for hockey and his commitment to promoting sports in remote areas have driven his efforts, as he believes deeply in the transformative power of sports to uplift communities.
At Ashoka University, Chamba gained the tools to drive social impact through the Young India and Mother Teresa Fellowships, which helped shape his vision for using sports as a vehicle for community development.
He is a certified "Learn to Play" instructor through the International Ice Hockey Federation and currently coaches India’s U19 national ice hockey team. As a member of the Indian men’s national team and founder of the Adventure Sports Foundation of Ladakh, Chamba not only continues to train young players across the region but also leads ambitious initiatives—like organizing the world’s highest frozen lake marathon, which earned a Guinness World Record.
Through all his work, Chamba remains focused on one mission: building access, inspiring youth, and using sport to create lasting social impact in Ladakh and beyond

Co - Founder & Operational Director
Dorjay Namgyal
Dorjay Namgyal is the Co-Founder and Operations Director of the Adventure Sports Foundation of Ladakh (ASFL). A lifelong sports enthusiast with a deep passion for cricket, he believes in the power of sports to unite communities and create opportunities for young people in Ladakh.
With over a decade of experience in sustainable tourism and community-based hospitality, Dorjay is the founder of Thangzing House, an eco-friendly accommodation on the banks of Pangong Lake, built using traditional earth-based materials and passive solar design.
Dorjay played a key operational role in organizing India's first Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon, overseeing logistics, local coordination, and event execution in one of the world's most challenging high-altitude winter environments.
At ASFL, he leads operations, community engagement, and sustainable tourism initiatives while supporting the development of grassroots sports and adventure programs across Ladakh. His expertise in mountain logistics and community development continues to strengthen ASFL's vision of building resilient sports ecosystems in the Himalayas.

Executive Director
Rigzin Mingyur
Rigzin Mingyur is an experienced mountain guide, naturalist, and conservation advocate with over 14 years of experience exploring and working across the Himalayas of Ladakh. Renowned for his expertise in wildlife expeditions, particularly snow leopard tracking, trekking, and mountaineering, he has dedicated his career to promoting responsible tourism while showcasing Ladakh's unique natural heritage.
Rigzin worked closely with Mr. Sonam Wangchuk on the pioneering Ice Stupa Project, co-leading its winter implementation for four years. His expertise in high-altitude innovation also took him to Switzerland, where he was invited to help construct Ice Stupas as part of sustainable tourism initiatives. He has further contributed to the School of Tourism at the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh (HIAL), supporting projects such as the Himalayan Farmstay, Live Lab, and the coordination of Responsible Tourism programs. He also serves as an Executive Member of the Ladakh Mountain Guide Association (LMGA) and remains actively involved in conservation and community-based development initiatives across the region.
As Executive Director of the Adventure Sports Foundation of Ladakh (ASFL), Rigzin brings together his expertise in mountain environments, sustainable tourism, and community engagement to strengthen the foundation's vision of developing adventure sports, nurturing grassroots talent, and creating meaningful opportunities for Himalayan youth while promoting responsible stewardship of Ladakh's natural landscapes.

Paul Dupuis
Paul Dupuis is a business leader, leadership coach, author, and the former Managing Director & CEO of Randstad India. Throughout his career, he has inspired individuals and organizations through leadership development, executive coaching, and his writing on building purpose-driven leaders and high-performing teams.
Growing up in Canada, where hockey is deeply woven into the national culture, Paul developed a lifelong love for the sport and a strong belief in its ability to shape character, build resilience, and bring communities together. This passion naturally led him to support the growth of grassroots ice hockey in Ladakh, where he has helped facilitate access to essential sports equipment and champion initiatives that create opportunities for young athletes in remote Himalayan communities.
Paul believes that sport is one of the most powerful tools for developing leadership, confidence, and teamwork. His global perspective, commitment to youth development, and passion for hockey continue to inspire ASFL's mission of empowering communities and building the next generation of athletes and leaders through sport.

Vinay Kumar
Vinay Kumar is the Founder of C2C Development, a social impact organization dedicated to strengthening communities through sustainable development, education, livelihoods, and institutional capacity building. With over two decades of experience in the development sector, he has worked closely with governments, corporate partners, and civil society organizations to design and implement impactful community-led initiatives across India.
A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, Vinay believes that sport can be a powerful catalyst for leadership, inclusion, and social change. His expertise in building cross-sector partnerships, mobilizing resources, and creating sustainable development models has supported initiatives that expand opportunities for young people in underserved communities.
Drawing on his extensive experience in community development and organizational leadership, Vinay continues to support ASFL's vision of using sport as a platform for empowering Himalayan communities, strengthening grassroots institutions, and creating lasting opportunities for future generations.

Tsewang Chuskit
Tsewang Chuskit is the Captain of the Indian Women's National Ice Hockey Team and one of India's foremost pioneers in winter sports. Hailing from Ladakh, she has played a pivotal role in building and leading the national team since its inception, inspiring a new generation of athletes through her resilience, leadership, and commitment to breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated sport.
Under her captaincy, India achieved a historic bronze medal at the 2025 IIHF Women's Asia Cup—the country's first major international podium finish in women's ice hockey. Beyond her sporting achievements, Tsewang is a passionate advocate for youth development, gender equality in sports, and climate awareness, highlighting the impact of environmental change on Himalayan communities and winter sports.
As a member of the ASFL Board, Tsewang Chuskit brings a unique perspective shaped by elite sport, grassroots leadership, and community empowerment. Her experience in inspiring young athletes and championing inclusion will strengthen ASFL's vision of developing future leaders through sport and education.

Alexis Daudelin
Alexis is an experienced ice hockey coach from Canada who has been actively contributing to the development of the sport in Ladakh since 2016. During his time in India, he has conducted grassroots development camps in remote regions such as Zanskar, coached local tournaments, and served as the Head Coach of the Indian Women's National Ice Hockey Team in 2017. These experiences have given him a deep appreciation of Ladakh's passion for ice hockey and its tremendous potential for growth.
With over 15 years of elite playing experience in Canada, Alexis brings extensive expertise in player development, coaching, and strength and conditioning. His background in sports education and athlete development, combined with his commitment to empowering young athletes, aligns closely with ASFL's vision of building strong grassroots pathways and creating opportunities for future generations.
As a coach at ASFL, Alexis works to develop technically skilled, confident, and resilient athletes while helping strengthen Ladakh's growing ice hockey ecosystem through structured coaching, mentorship, and international best practices.

LTP Coach
Dechen Angmo
Dechen Angmo is a passionate athlete from Ladakh and a member of Ladakh's first women's polo team, playing an important role in preserving one of the region's oldest and most cherished traditional sports. As a polo player, she is helping keep Ladakh's rich equestrian heritage alive while inspiring greater participation of women in a sport that has traditionally been male-dominated. Alongside polo, Dechen is also an accomplished ice hockey goalkeeper, reflecting her dedication to both traditional and modern sports.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education at Ladakh University, Dechen combines her academic learning with practical experience in athlete development and youth engagement. Passionate about working with children and young athletes, she believes sport is a powerful tool for building confidence, leadership, and lifelong healthy habits.
As an LTP (Learn to Play) Coach at the Adventure Sports Foundation of Ladakh (ASFL), Dechen focuses on introducing children and beginners to skating and ice hockey through fun, inclusive, and structured coaching programs. She is committed to encouraging greater participation among girls and young athletes while helping nurture the next generation of winter sports talent in Ladakh.

Padma Rigzin
Padma Rigzin is a dedicated sports coach with a strong passion for grassroots athlete development and youth engagement through sport. Over the years, he has worked extensively with children and young athletes, creating inclusive and structured learning environments that encourage participation, confidence, and skill development.
Padma has previously worked with Health Inc., where he contributed to sports and community-based initiatives, and has participated in a coach education program with the Winnipeg Jets, gaining valuable exposure to international coaching methodologies and athlete development practices. He has also worked closely with ASFL in the past, conducting grassroots sports and ice hockey camps across Ladakh.
At ASFL, Padma plays an important role in delivering coaching programs, mentoring young athletes, and promoting grassroots sports development. His experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to nurturing the next generation of athletes make him a valuable member of the ASFL coaching team.
